FRANCHISE BUYER GUIDE
The Resident Evil name travels under the Biohazard brand in Japan, so searching only the English title can miss imported cabinets. The key split is between ball-launch pachinko and reel-style pachislot. Both can be expensive collector pieces, but they have very different controls, consumables and accessory requirements.
Revelations 2 pachinko examples use elaborate illuminated cabinets. Before trusting a listing title, confirm a photo of the playfield and a powered-on video from the specific unit being sold. Look carefully for a complete ball system, keys and compatibility with the included power supply.
OTHER COLLECTOR FRANCHISES
INSPECT BEFORE PAYING
SHOP SMARTER
Biohazard is the franchise name used in Japan. Both names are useful when looking for imported collector machines.
Not without first confirming whether the cabinet is pachinko or pachislot. Shipping and included equipment also vary.
Ask about the power plug and voltage, condition photos, parts and keys, packing, insurance, and the delivered total including possible duties.
CONDITION BEFORE HYPE
Ask for a full power-on demonstration, exact included keys and equipment, electrical information, return terms and insured shipping. The asking price is only one part of the cost.
